Airport Car Parking

Through our partner, Holiday Extras, we can offer car parking at 16 UK airports as well as arranging accommodation and the use of airport lounges.

Holiday Extras offer a range of hotels at most UK airports and have been selected for their convenient location as well as the frequency of transfers to the terminal building.

Many airports also have lounges available where you can experience an ‘oasis of calm’ away from the hustle and bustle of public areas. Relax in peace and comfort with a cup of tea as you read the daily newspaper or some lounges you can watch the television while you wait for your flight. These services must be booked in advance of your arrival. Our holiday consultants will do this on your behalf and advise costs involved.

Arriving at and departing from your villa

Hotel rooms are usually available from 2pm. Your villa or apartment is normally available from 5pm local time; our office closes at 8pm and cannot always guarantee entry to your accommodation later. If you are arriving late then please inform us well in advance so that we can make alternative arrangements for you.

You should vacate your villa by 10 am in order for the maid to clean and prepare the property for the next guests, however you are asked to leave your villa, as you'd expect to find it. In some areas there will be a charge for villas left in an unsatisfactory condition. Your villa is reserved exclusively for the people named on your holiday confirmation and no other persons are permitted to stay unless approved by us in writing.

Baby Equipment

Cots and high chairs can be provided for you at a £20 per week charge. You will need to take your own linen. Car seats are also available for your rental car - click here for car hire details or alternatively ask your holiday consultant for details. We recommend all terrain pushchairs for your travels.

Most terraces include terrace furniture and some have either a built in or portable barbecue. Where they are available it will be stated in the villa description. In some of our properties, barbecues not permitted due to fire regulations. These are dependant on the season and location, please ask our holiday consultants for more details.

Bathrooms are equipped with a bath, sometimes with over-bath shower or a shower stall or both, together with washbasin or half-bath. It will state in the villa description whether there is a bathroom or shower-room

Brochure accuracy

We always take a great deal of care to make sure that the information we provide is correct. However, we publish our brochure many months in advance and occasionally ownership of a villa, or other details like furniture and fittings, may change before your holiday commences. If we feel a particular change could detract from your enjoyment of your holiday we will write to tell you as soon as possible. If you are concerned about any facilities not being available at the time you travel, please ask your holiday consultant when you book.

Car rental
We can arrange a hire car for you if you choose to fly to your holiday accommodation. For Summer 2003, we are pleased to be working with Europcar, offering an excellent range of cars at competitive rates. Unless stated at time of booking your hire car will be available to collect from the airport on your arrival. Please see the car hire page for more information.

It's safer to carry most of your money in travellers' cheques, which can be replaced if lost, as long as you have a record of the cheque numbers. Scottish bank notes occasionally cause confusion abroad and it's probably better to take English notes. Euro cheques backed by a banker's Euro cheque card can be cashed at European banks displaying the Euro cheque (EC) symbol. Contact your bank for the latest Euro cheque information. Access (MasterCard), Barclaycard (Visa) and other major credit cards are widely accepted in Spain and can often be used in automated cash dispensers with your usual PIN number. Switch/Delta debit cards may not be accepted in some shops.

    Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
It is known that any long periods of immobility when travelling, such as sitting upright in one position and wearing tight fitting clothing can contribute to the condition of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Muscles can become constricted and the return of blood from the legs to the heart is inhibited. Symptoms can be muscular – and backaches, excess fatigue or in very rare circumstances, more serious complications can occur, even after your journey has ended. We recommend that you seek medical advice from your GP before you travel if you have any concerns regarding your health or DVT.

For flight inclusive holidays a deposit of £75 per person is payable at time of booking. An additional deposit will be payable for scheduled flights. For accommodation only holidays, a deposit to the value of 25% of the property rental cost is payable at time of booking.

    Maid service
Where maid service is not stated the property is cleaned between clients only. A few properties include a clean on arrival, mid-stay and departure. This is shown in the villa description. If required in some areas we can arrange additional maid service on an hourly rate. Please ask for more details.

    Medical treatment when abroad
If you are travelling to Europe you should get an E111 certificate which entitles you to reduced cost emergency treatment in EU countries. A full list of your entitlements can be found in DSS leaflet SA40. Despite the benefits of the E111 it is still worthwhile taking insurance cover, which will cover you for 24-hour emergency medical help. See also 'Inoculations'.
